My Dynasty: Your Family Tree
Your dynasty outlives every character in it, and the family tree in My Dynasty is where they are all remembered. Each time a character dies, their portrait is hung in the tree for good: an oil painting showing what they are remembered for, a frame that shows how great their life was, their years, their achievements, their spouse and the epitaph they chose. You stand at the top with your children growing above you, your ancestors below, and the roots of your house at the bottom. The tree fills itself in — all you do is live a life worth a golden frame.
Opening the tree
🌳 My Dynasty has its own button in the menu, between Travel and Rankings, and opens on your family tree. In the All panel it is in the Me group, between Social and My Dog.
When a generation ends, the heir's Ship's Log says whose portrait has just been hung, with which title and frame, and has an Open My Dynasty button.
How the tree is laid out
- At the top, your children, as buds with their age. The eldest is marked Heir: that is who takes over when you die.
- Then you, the living generation, in a glowing dashed frame. This is where you choose your title, write your epitaph and see how far you are from the next frame.
- Below you, your ancestors, from the most recent down to the founder.
- At the bottom, the roots and your house, with the number of generations so far.
The page always opens on you, at the top. Scroll down to travel back through the generations: the older the dynasty, the longer the trunk.
When a portrait is hung
Every character who dies gets a portrait, however the end comes:
- at the year change, of old age or bad luck;
- when health reaches zero;
- when they move to the rest home;
- when they are murdered.
The portrait is written once, at the moment of death, and never changes afterwards.
What each portrait shows
- The name and the generation.
- The years: the game year they were born and the year they died, and their age.
- The title they are remembered for, and the painting that goes with it.
- The frame and the glory points of that life.
- How the life ended: passed away, health ran out, retired to a rest home, or murdered.
- Their achievements, for example “Prime Minister ×2 · Olympics 🥇1 · General · 3 children”.
- Their spouse and their epitaph.
- Their other children, as leaves on a side branch, and the heirloom they left to the heir.
Money is never shown in the tree. Wealth only counts as glory points and for the Tycoon title.
Titles: what you are remembered for
A character earns titles from what they did in their own life. Achievements of earlier generations don't count.
| Title | How it is earned |
|---|---|
| Statesman / Stateswoman | Served as Prime Minister |
| Minister | Served in the government |
| General | Reached the rank of General |
| Officer | Reached the rank of Lieutenant or Colonel |
| Warlord | Won 3 or more battles |
| Olympian | Won an Olympic medal |
| Racing Driver | Won a motorsport race |
| Tycoon | An estate worth $500,000 or more |
| Banker | Owns a Private Bank |
| Doctor | A degree in Medicine |
| Chef | A Chef degree |
| Lawyer | A degree in Law |
| Author | Wrote a book |
| Prophet / Prophetess | Leads a religion |
| Outlaw | 2 or more convictions, or in jail |
| Patriarch / Matriarch | 4 or more children |
| Sage | Lived to 90 |
| Citizen | Always available |
The table is in order of importance: without a choice of yours, the portrait shows the highest title you earned. Titles are checked at the moment of death: a Tycoon who lost their fortune, or a Prophet who no longer leads a religion, is no longer one.
Each title is an oil painting, with a younger and an elder version: characters who die at 65 or older are painted as elders. The gallery is still growing, so a few titles borrow the Citizen portrait for now.
Choosing your title
Earned more than one title? Under your portrait, How do you want to be remembered? lists every title you have earned so far in this life. Pick one, or leave it on Greatest title (automatic).
- You can change your choice as often as you like until you die.
- If the title you picked is no longer earned when you die, your greatest title is used instead.
- The choice only changes the painting and the label: glory points and the frame stay the same.
The frame and glory points
The frame shows how great a life was. It depends on the glory points earned in that life, the same points as the Rankings, plus wealth:
| Field | Points |
|---|---|
| Politics | 2 per term in government, 5 per term as Prime Minister |
| Sport | Olympic medals: bronze 1, silver 2, gold 3. 1 per motorsport win. 5 per term as Sport Federation president |
| Family | 2 per child born or adopted |
| Education | 1 per degree |
| Longevity | 1 at 60, 1 more at 70 and at 80, 2 more at 90, 3 more at 100 |
| Military | Sergeant 1, Lieutenant 3, Colonel 6, General 11 |
| Wealth | 1 per $10,000 of estate at death, at most 30 |
The estate counts your cash, the cash in your safe deposit box, your companies' funds and your shares, the same way the inheritance does.
| Frame | Glory points |
|---|---|
| 🪵 Wood | 0–4 |
| 🥉 Bronze | 5–14 |
| 🥈 Silver | 15–29 |
| 🥇 Gold | 30–59 |
| 💎 Legendary | 60 or more, and points in at least 2 different fields |
Example: a Prime Minister for 2 terms (10) who also served 4 terms in government (8), reached General (11), had 3 children (6) and 3 degrees (3), turned 60 (1) and died with $230,000 (23) has 62 points in 6 fields: a Legendary frame.
Only this life counts. Degrees and military rank are wiped at every inheritance, and medals, children and battles are counted per character. Government terms, motorsport wins and federation presidencies are counted from the previous generation's death. For characters who were already alive when the family tree started (October 8, 2026), those three count from that day.
Your own place at the top
Your portrait at the top shows where your life stands today:
- the frame you would get if your life ended now, and a bar showing how many points you need for the next one, for example “Silver frame · 7 pts to Gold”;
- your points in each field, so you can see where the next ones can come from;
- your achievements and your spouse;
- your title choice and your epitaph.
If Legendary is out of reach only because all your points come from one field, the bar says so.
Your epitaph
- A single line of up to 80 characters, carved under your portrait when you die. An emoji counts as one character.
- Write it or change it from the Write epitaph button under your portrait, as often as you like until you die. Saving an empty line removes it.
- Words that are not allowed in the chat are refused, not hidden, because an epitaph is forever.
- Your heir starts with a blank one.
Spouse, children and heirlooms
- Spouse: the person you are married to when you die, a player or a character met in the game. If your spouse died before you, they stay next to you, marked (late). A divorce removes them.
- If a spouse's player deletes their account, their name becomes “Deleted Player” in every tree, like in the Hall of Fame.
- Children: while you live, they grow as buds above you, the eldest marked as your heir. Without children, the tree reminds you that your dynasty ends when you die.
- Brothers and sisters: the heir is the next generation on the trunk. The other children of that life are the leaves on the side branch next to the portrait.
- Heirloom: every heir receives a random rare item when they inherit (see Inheritance & Dynasty). It is written under the portrait of the one who left it.
Ancestors before the records
The family tree started on October 8, 2026. Generations that died before it started appear as a silhouette marked Unrecorded ancestor, with their generation number. If one of them won an Olympic medal, their name is taken from the Olympic Hall of Fame.
When a dynasty ends
- Death without an heir: the last character gets a portrait too, but when the account is closed, after the 10-day grace period of the gravestone, the whole tree goes with it.
- A new dynasty from the gravestone starts a new tree from the first generation.
- Deleting your account deletes your tree.
Where to find it all
- 🌳 My Dynasty (menu, between Travel and Rankings): the whole tree, your title choice, your epitaph and the i guide next to the title with every number.
- Your Ship's Log after an inheritance: the line announcing the new portrait, with a button to open the tree.
- Rankings: the same kinds of points, added up over the whole history of your dynasty.
