Garage & Motorsport
In the Garage you build a dedicated race car (separate from your everyday commuting car), train your driving skill, and compete in the annual Motorsport Championship.
Building & tuning a race car
| Base car | Base Performance Rating | Max upgrade level per department |
|---|---|---|
| LQ Auto | 30 | 3 |
| Med Auto | 50 | 5 |
| Luxury Auto | 80 | 8 |
Installing a car to race requires it to be at 100% condition; installing consumes that car, and replacing it scraps the previous one with all its upgrades. Three departments each add +5 PR per level: Engine (needs Steel), Aero/Body (needs Plastic), Electronics (needs Microchip); each level costs roughly $100 plus 2–3 units of the matching material.
Condition & lifetime
A championship race costs the car −10% condition; a training lap costs −5%. Repairs cost roughly (100 − condition) × 12 in cash plus materials. A car retires permanently after 50 total races and must be replaced.
Driver training & the Championship
A training lap costs $100 + 1 Fuel + 5 Energy, takes 30 minutes, and grants +2 Driving Skill (0–100, capped, reset to 0 on death). The annual Championship (per nation, real drivers only, needs at least 3 entrants or it's cancelled with a full refund) costs $300 + 1 Fuel + 10 Energy to enter; your race score combines your car's PR, your Driving Skill, and its current condition. The prize pool is the net entry fees plus a top-up from the Motorsport Fund (default $1,000/year), shared among the top half of the field. A Motorsport Activity Tax (default 10%, cap 50%) is skimmed from every training lap and race entry for the state treasury.
