Missions, Aspirations & the Compass
All your long-term goals live on one board, Your goals, on your Home page. It has up to four tabs: 🧭 Compass, 🎯 Missions, 🌟 Aspiration and 🗺️ Journey. Open it from the sidebar — the 🧭 Compass block, or the Aspiration and Missions headings — and hide it again whenever you like.
🎯 Missions
Each character is assigned 3 rotating missions at the start (and again on inheritance) across 7 categories: Economic, Property, Family, Education, Sport, Politics, Social. Each mission has 3 progressive levels; completing one grants money, a stat bonus and an item, then unlocks the next tier.
The Missions tab shows every active mission with what to do and its exact reward — the money, the stat bonuses and the rarity of the item (⚪ Common, 🟢 Uncommon, 🔵 Rare) — so you know what a mission is worth before you chase it.
🌟 Aspiration
You also pursue one lifelong Aspiration, assigned once and permanent. Completing it awards a unique legendary item plus a flat $20,000:
| Aspiration | Goal |
|---|---|
| The Magnate | Reach $1,000,000 |
| The Condottiero | Become Prime Minister |
| The Athlete | Win an Olympic medal |
| The Patriarch | Have 3 or more children |
| The Builder | Own 5 buildings |
| The Scholar | Earn 3 specialisations |
| The Prophet | Lead a religion with 20+ followers |
| The Networker | Reach 15 contacts, including 3 close confidants |
🧭 The Compass
The tutorial covers your first days. The Compass picks up where it stops: a checklist of the things worth trying in Dynasty, so no corner of the game stays hidden from you. Every objective has a line telling you what to do, a Go button that takes you to the right section and, where one exists, a Learn more button with the in-game guide.
How objectives get ticked
You never tick anything by hand. The game notices what you have done and ticks it for you, at the latest within half a minute, and a ticked objective stays ticked for good — even if you later sell the house, leave the party or get divorced.
Most of what you did before the Compass existed is recognised straight away. A handful of actions leave no lasting trace, so they are ticked the next time you do them:
- writing in the national chat and using a special item;
- a crime attempted without ever training a criminal skill;
- a night at a nightclub that is already over;
- a vote or a walk in the park from a previous game year.
The objectives
26 objectives in 7 areas count towards completing the Compass. The eighth area, Alternative paths, is optional.

Only a few details are worth knowing. Living in your own home does not count as renting it out — the tenant has to be another player. Working in a shop you own does not count as working for someone else. A building still under construction is not a building yet, and a life insurance application counts only once the bank accepts it.
Who has a Compass
- Founders (the first generation of a dynasty) get one. It appears once the tutorial is finished or switched off, and opens by itself a single time at the moment you finish the tutorial. While the tutorial is still running it stays hidden, but it is already ticking what you do.
- Heirs do not: by the second generation you know the way. The Missions and Aspiration tabs are still there for them.
On a phone the 🧭 block sits inside the ☰ menu. A red dot on ☰, and a NEW label on the block, mean something has been ticked since you last looked; both go away once you open the Compass.
Closing the Compass forever
Hiding the board is always free and always reversible. If you never want to see the Compass again, use Close the Compass forever at the bottom of the Compass tab — it moves to the top, next to a trophy, once you have ticked all 26.
🗺️ Journey
The Journey tab is a record of your tutorial: the 4 first steps, the 10 stops of the tour and the 3 objectives you chose at the end, each marked as done or still open. If you switched the tutorial off halfway, it shows how far you got — and you can switch it back on from 👤 Profile & Settings, right where you left it. Like the tutorial, Journey belongs to founders only.
